Erika Gifford is a lifeguard, poet, and undergraduate student at Cleveland State University in Ohio where she studies English and Philosophy. Besides lifeguarding, she teaches creative writing to local and international high school students in the homeschooling community.
When not working or musing over literature, you can find her driving her 1971, orange super beetle named Kurt, or working on him when the electrical systems fail (which happens more often than not these days). She also enjoys sewing, when she has the time and money to spare for it. In her writing, Erika often refers to stories or images from the outdoors and her travels to other countries. Erika has previously been published in the first issue of Bluing the Blade, and Cleveland State University’s The Vindicator.
