C.J. Delous is a poet from the North of England. A working-class autodidact, they have no academic or literary C.V. other than a chapbook of poetry and artwork, published with the aid of an arts grant to raise money for a local mental health charity that aims to promote mental well-being through art therapy and community-building, which can be bought at www.wordsforghosts.com/book and can be found in the deposit libraries at the Bodleian Library Oxford University, The Cambridge University Library, National Library of Scotland, National Library of Wales and Trinity College Dublin.
Serendipitous encounters with the John Ashbery poem “These Trees” and the work of Albert Camus are the reason they began to write, and the poetry of Sylvia Plath, Ocean Vuong, and Pablo Neruda is what compels them to continue.
