Steven Simoncic

Steven Simoncic is a writer from Detroit living in Chicago with his wife, two kids, and two dogs. His fiction has appeared in a number of anthologies and journals including The Chicago Reader, Hippocampus Magazine, Conclave, CRAFT Literary, Beyond Words, New Millennium Writings, Spork Magazine, Ampersand, and Drift. His plays have received productions, readings and workshops at The Goodman Theatre, Steppenwolf Theatre, Victory Gardens, The Second City, 16th Street Theatre, Pegasus Players, Stageplays Theatre New York, and Soho Theatre London. Steven holds BBA from the University of Michigan, an MFA in fiction from Warren Wilson, and an MLA from the University of Chicago. When Steven is not writing prose, he is writing lyrics and music for his band, Trickshooter Social Club. Steven is currently working on a short story about ageism, love, and mercy killing, and a play about what might be the last shoe store on earth.
