Stuart Baker Hawk is a Washington state resident, via Indiana, via all parts all over. His day job is in risk management. You can read between the lines on that. After reading and writing reports on events associated with his work, his stress release is writing. Usually in the early morning hours when everybody else with any common sense is sleeping. He prefers short form fiction, but will dabble in CNF and poetry.
He and his wife were once Midwest concert promoters and owned a boutique music venue before making their way west. That being said, he knows a thing or two about the industry and those who make living on the stage. He is also a card-carrying member of the Society of Professional Obituary Writers. Yes, there is such an association. Our rock gods and goddesses have been through a lot during the last several decades—not everybody can be Keith Richards. He is published, but not one to say where or what.
With semi-retirement staring him in the face, lately he and his wife, Rebecca, have been entertaining thoughts of Portugal. He says he will never retire-retire. The very thought of the brain congealing to jell, and bone against bone motivates him to press forward. There will be plenty of time for espresso and tapas at that café on a cobblestone alley in Caldas da Rainha.
