Gabby Mijalski-Fahim

I am a recent grad, proud cat mother, and a very queer poet who lives and breathes in Oregon. I enjoy skateboarding with my pals, watching mystery thrillers and consuming an unhealthy amount of reality television. My specialties are hoarding karaoke machines at bars and speaking at unreasonably loud volumes in public places. I’m happiest when my cat is in close proximity, or when I am asleep dreaming of cats. I’ve been involved with political advocacy for most of my life, and I am a firm believer in the power of grassroots movements that fight for essential demands such as economic justice, housing security, racial justice, reproductive access, gender equality and LGBTQ rights. I am currently working remotely for a State Representative in Oregon, whose constituents I have the pleasure of getting to know on a daily basis via phone calls and zoom meetings. When I’m not working or petting my cat, I enjoy hiking, reading poetry and falling down YouTube rabbit holes. My work is featured in The Siren Feminist Magazine and Cathexis Northwest Press.
