Scott Olsson

Scott Olsson was born and raised just outside of Pittsburgh, in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, once the heart of America’s steel industry. As a young lad, Scott aspired to be Philip Marlowe or Sam Spade. He attended Geneva College in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania and somehow wound up a social worker. He has spent the past nineteen years working with wayward youth in the foster care and juvenile justice systems and has a special place in his heart for the young men and women who ride the rails, hopping freight trains to search out their destiny. Scott’s work has been featured in Griffel and The Commute. When he’s not working, reading or writing, he can probably be found hunting for antique glass telegraph line insulators or sitting around drinking tea. He really likes tea.
